At Fat Tommy’s Grill & Sports Bar, we’ve built our reputation on three simple words: Burgers, Beers
& Big Screens.
Yes, we’ve got wall-to-wall TVs. Yes, the atmosphere is electric. Yes, the events are legendary.
But let’s be honest…
It’s always been about the food.
And that’s exactly why we’re launching a brand-new blog series called Around The Menu — where
every few days we spotlight one crave-worthy item from our kitchen and give it the attention it
deserves.
A Legacy You Can Taste
Fat Tommy’s isn’t just another sports bar. We proudly carry on the legacy of Tommy’s Grill — a
Chicago institution known for quality, consistency, and warm hospitality. That legacy means something to us.
It means fresh ingredients, scratch-made sauces, big portions, bold flavors, and no cutting corners.
When we say we care about the food — we mean it.
From Starters to Showstoppers
Take one look at our menu and you’ll see what we’re talking about.
We’ve got Tin Can Tower Nachos piled high with queso, cheddar, pico, jalapeño, guacamole and
more. Baked Meatballs simmered in tomato sauce, topped with fresh ricotta and tangy giardiniera. The legendary Famous Fat Burger — a juicy double patty with caramelized onions and our house secret sauce. Ribeye Steak Sandwiches loaded with mozzarella and sautéed onions. Fish & Chips
with beer-battered cod and fresh hand-cut fries. And of course, Tommy’s Famous Chicken Wingstossed in everything from Honey BBQ to Blazin’ Buffalo to Mango Habanero.
And that’s just scratching the surface.
Why Around The Menu?
Because every dish has a story. Some are Chicago classics — like our Italian Beef piled high with giardiniera. Some are game-day
staples — like wings tossed exactly the way you like them. Some are sleeper hits you haven’t tried
yet (but should). With Around The Menu, we’re going to highlight one featured item at a time, share what makes it special, show you how it’s made, tell you why guests love it, pair it with the perfect drink, and give you a reason to come in and try it. We’ll be posting these features here on the blog and across our social channels — so whether you’re scrolling at work, planning dinner, or deciding where to watch the game, you’ll know exactly what to order.
